Toro looks in the eyes of Napoli and conquers a point legitimized by a first time devoted to attention and a recovery of personality. The Azzurri are an out of place orchestra, a distant relative of the brilliant team that put Liverpool in the Champions League. The team of Ancelotti slows down and still brakes, for Mazzarri instead it is a zero to zero all in color. And it is the first time since the beginning of the championship that his Toro has not conceded a goal.
THE CAGE OF MAZZARRI - The story of the first part of the race does not include neither the show nor the good game. The merit, probably, is above all the ability of the Taurus to make Naples continually come out of the match. In the first half, the cage built by Mazzarri to extinguish Ancelotti's sources of play works: Walter sets a Toro transformist, who defends with 4-4-1-1, with Laxalt in the position of left-back, Ansaldi high-right, Verdi hijacked on the left and Lukic more advanced, practically glued to Allan. When, on the other hand, the Taurus has to build it reshapes in a 3-5-2 formation, with Verdi regaining the position of the field behind Belotti. De Silvestri is not appealing, who is not even on the bench despite being summoned: the right exterior was stopped in the night by a peak of fever. Napoli starts with 4-3-3, relying on the all-fantasy trident (Lozano-Mertens-Insigne), at least on paper, which, however, lights up little and fails to affect. The central defensive pair is composed of Luperto-Manolas, on the left runs Hysaj, it hurts immediately and in its place takes over Ghoulam.
ACCIDENTS - Toro plays 45 minutes of application and waiting, trying to hit on the break; the napkin of Naples is in keeping with the desire but I can't. Ancelotti's team hardly ever gets up the pace, Zielinski hardly scratches (it is clear just for a long-range shot, controlled by Sirigu on 23 '), Fabian Ruiz tries to infuse the extra gear but finds neither comfort nor Lozano nor of Allan and ends up slamming often against the grenade dam in midfield. The first ring of the race, in the tenth, was signed by Ruiz, with a conclusion from the distance deflected for a corner by Sirigu. Then, in the fourth hour, Izzo misses the midfield advance, allowing Insigne to run away but Lyanco, desperate, manages to dampen the technical gesture around Lorenzo. Sixty seconds later, Zielinski slips and triggers Rincon to serve Verdi, but the former's diagonal doesn't hit the target. Around the 25th minute the tension between the Napoli fans and those of the Toro present in the Primavera curve rose: a large group of Italian fans climbed over the partition between the guest sector and the Primavera, raising the tension. Inside the stadium, however, beyond widespread concern there is no contact, while it is outside the stadium that for about a quarter of an hour incidents are reported between opposing supporters along Via Filadelfia, with the police busy sedating the minds . At the end of the first half the ultras return to the stadium in their respective sectors and calm returns.
MERTENS AND ANSALDI - In a first time that does not take off, there are two main occasions. The first of Napoli, at minute number twenty-eight, when Mertens tries a lob that gives the illusion of goals (ball out). The second rains in the second and last minute of recovery, just before the break, when from the development of a free kick Ansaldi launches a torpedo that enhances Meret's qualities. Parried by the high difficulty index.
CALLEJON PLUS LLORENTE - In the first quarter of an hour of the second half the general philosophy of the game does not change much. Of course, the Toro is more combative and a little at a time try to gain ground, but it is always the Napoli to have the ball without being able to break through the double line, of defenders and midfielders, erected by Mazzarri. At the eleventh contact in the Naples area between Izzo and Ghoulam calls into question the referee Doveri, who lets it run. The hour of play is out of the way, Ancelotti places the Callejon move, recalling an off Lozano on the bench, and six minutes later he launches into Llorente mischa instead of Insigne, once again unable to leave his mark on the evening. The most important occasion of Napoli falls right on Llorente's head, one hundred and twenty seconds after entering: Di Lorenzo's cross, Lyanco loses the Spaniard whose header just a few steps from Sirigu is high.
