Aurelio De Laurentiis has dismantled the possible hypothesis of the engagement of Zlatan Ibrahimovic. "We thought of him, together with Ancelotti. Now, before giving importance to the negotiation, I have other priorities: putting back a team that has to play differently, with a very high line and a defense that should not concede what we have conceded to Parma. "We need to think first of what we have at home and then reinforce the midfield," said the president of Napoli, who praised the Swedish striker. "He is another extraordinary person, one that I have known in the past and who struck me for his strong character and personality."

WHY GATTUSO - De Laurentiis also explained why he chose Rino Gattuso: "I hired him, because in Milan he played 4-3-3 well and Napoli is recognized throughout Europe to play with this scheme. Rino is an extremely polite person, a hard worker, he did very well at Milan and was a great soccer player. It is a just profile, as was also Carlo, an extraordinary person. I've always been lucky with the coaches ".

MERTENS - Finally, the president also explained the position of Dries Mertens, whose contract will expire next June. "He has such a contract that he can go anywhere, except in Italy."
