After the two days of rest granted by Massimiliano Allegri, Juventus resumed working on the Continassa in view of the Naples match on Sunday 3 March at 8.30pm. A challenge with a particular flavor, with Juventus that wants to close the championship in a definitive way, bringing its advantage to +16 on the second.
Cristiano Ronaldo still in pain
Who is likely to skip the trip to Naples is Cristiano Ronaldo, which was nothing short of decisive in the first leg won by the bianconeri 3-1 in comeback. The Portuguese suffered a blow to his left ankle during the league match against Bologna and has not yet recovered: the former Real Madrid in fact still feels pain and on Thursday will be subjected to instrumental examinations to learn more about the extent of injury.
Nothing serious, but it is very likely that will miss the challenge of the San Paolo with Allegri who wants to preserve it for another kind of competition. After Napoli there will be Udinese (which will be played on Friday 8/3), then the great match against Atlético Madrid in the second leg of the Champions League. It is possible, in fact, that Allegri keeps Ronaldo at rest for these two races, hoping to have him at his best for the return of the Stadium, ready to drag the riders into a difficult Remontada.
Ronaldo was until now one of the workaholics of the Juventus season and not only, having missed only one match, however, for disqualification. In fact, the Portuguese only missed the Champions League home match against Young Boys after having redirected a direct red in Valencia's debut. Then he always played, not appearing only against Bologna in the Italian Cup (knockout stages) and against Atalanta in the league (18th day), where he still entered the race in progress.
