The Franchi does not bring luck to Napoli. Last year, losing 3-0 in Florence, Sarri's team practically said goodbye to the Scudetto dream. This year the result changes (0-0), but the fate remains the same: Napoli builds many scoring opportunities against Fiorentina, but never fails to unlock the match. There are at least four clear opportunities wasted by the Azzurri with Mertens, Callejon, Zielinski and Milik. Violins must thank their goalkeeper. Lafont is clearly the best in the field: Fiorentina's baby talent, considered the "Donnarrumma francese", is an insurmountable obstacle for Insigne and his companions. Fiorentina clenched her teeth, finishing the match with Pezzella in the injured field (Pioli had run out of gearboxes). The violets put a lot of heart on the playing field, entrusting to the speed of Church and Muriel the few offensive actions. The absences of Milenkovic, Benassi and Laurini, in addition to the problems of Vitor Hugo, are felt in the second half, when Fiorentina mainly thinks about defending itself. He does it in an orderly manner, albeit with shortness of breath. At the end the draw for the viola is a point earned, while for Napoli it is two points lost given the many missed opportunities: Juventus has 8 points of advantage on the team of Ancelotti, with the bianconeri who have yet to play the game against the Sassuolo. For Fiorentina it is the seventh consecutive useful result: Pioli rises to 32 points, the Champions area is 6 points away.
