The European nights of Napoli always have a special charm. They involve everyone, even those who do not live the passion for football. The wait grows, while in Castel Volturno Carlo Ancelotti dictates its ingredients to try the qualification for the semi-finals. "It will take courage, intelligence and heart. I saw little courage in the first game; intelligence was in the second part. The heart is what we will get tomorrow, along with a high dose of intensity. It is a great opportunity that we must seize. In this we will be helped by an environment that will be extraordinary ”. He has clear ideas, the Napoli coach. Experience allows him to live this eve without excessive tension. He knows that Arsenal must be tackled with intelligence and balance. "We will not make calculations. We want the game to last 90 minutes and we are ready even if we go further. We must play it to the maximum of our possibilities. No, it's not a bad game, it's a difficult game, yes, we knew it before. We are the only Italian team left in Europe and I hope to be there again on Friday. Napoli will do a great performance. Simply? I think so, we can do it ”.

PRETEND - It is well loaded, Ancelotti, is convinced that his Naples will not betray him, that he will give everything in his possibilities. On training, the coach did not give advances, he only confirmed that the possibility of deploying the trident behind Arek Milik, is among the various possibilities. "Maybe," said the technician who focused mainly on the environmental issue. “Compared to the first leg, we will have the support of San Paolo from our fans. At the Emirates we were frightened by the pressure of Arsenal and its fans. This time, no fear, Fuorigrotta will be on our side ”.

And speaking of the environment, Ancelotti commented with a pinch of controversy on the banners displayed in many areas of the city with which the B curve, in a peremptory manner, sent a message to the technician and the team. "We demand the UEFA Cup" the fans wrote. "To me the verb claim not to charge, at most we can wish. You can expect as I expect from my players, that is, maximum commitment. The sporting result cannot be guaranteed. To claim would be to guarantee and I cannot guarantee the result tomorrow night. I can guarantee that there will be maximum commitment. "

DEFENSE - It will be important not to take goals, above all. And in this sense there is concern, because in the last few weeks, Napoli has always scored a goal. "The problem is not always related to the four defenders. Compactness is lacking, sometimes we try to press in front and the defense does not accompany well. And therefore it is easier to slip in for the opponents. It will take more proximity between the departments ", explained Ancelotti, who also commented on the defeat and elimination of Juventus." The result showed unpredictability. Juventus was not ready in the decisive match. Nothing new, because this is the Champions ". Ajax current best expression of world football? Ancelotti does not agree. "They play well, but I am more surprised by the fact that they were a surprise, I didn't think it could reach the semifinals. And anyway, I don't think they will win the Champions League, maybe I'll be wrong. I like their football, it's proactive ". The defeat of Juventus has shown, then, that it is not enough to have the top players, but something else is needed. "We need method, ideas and programming. We are all surprised by this Ajax, but in our part it is not possible to think of long programming, work on young people, because everything is always linked to results, "concluded Ancelotti.
