Dries Mertens asks for space, to the sound of poles. The Belgian has hit more than all in Serie A, well 4, but if he strongly advances his candidacy for the important challenge of Wednesday in Salzburg it is because however his aim is always the best in Naples, given that Dries with 5 Seasonal goals (4 in the league and 1 in the Champions League) is the top scorer of the Azzurri. He will in all likelihood pair up in attack with the reborn Milik in Austria, in a delicate match that Napoli must at least not lose to avoid putting the qualification to the knockout stages of the Champions League at risk.

SACRIFICE INSIGNE? - The entry of Mertens and the probable use of Zielinski put in doubt the presence of Insigne as holder, however in a run-off with the Polish midfielder. Certainly for Lorenzo, after the Genk stand, another exclusion would be hard to digest. But Ancelotti's turnover has never looked anyone in the face and the technician will choose his men based on the staff's indications on physical efficiency tests.

MARIO RUI AND GHOULAM AT HOME - This time, however, there should be fewer changes. In defense everything should be confirmed (also seen the defections of Hysaj, Ghoulam and Mario Rui). Starting from undefeated Meret in the Champions League. In fact Ancelotti finds himself without external left-handed, with Di Lorenzo still to be adapted and Luperto the only alternative on the bench. These the summoned for the Austrian trip: Allan, Callejon, Di Lorenzo, Elmas, Fabian Ruiz, Gaetano, Insigne, Koulibaly, Karnezis, Llorente, Lozano, Luperto, Malcuit, Manolas, Meret, Mertens, Milik, Ospina, Younes, Zielinski. Therefore, Mario Rui (muscle fatigue), Maksimovic (still not cured of the elongation) remain at home, in addition to Hysaj and Ghoulam on which the club has not provided information on the real conditions. In addition to Tonelli, he is out of the Uefa list.

FRENCH REFEREE - Meanwhile, the French Clement Turpin has been appointed to direct the Salzburg race, valid for the third day of group E. For Turpin only one precedent with Napoli in the 4-0 of the Azzurri against Aek Solna in the Europa League in the 2012-13 season. Here is the complete designated referee team: Clement Turpin, assistants Nicolas Danos and Cyril Gringore; fourth man Frank Schneider; at the Var François Letexier, assistant Benoit Millot.
