Napoli is there, and continues to be serious. It matters little if the Velodrome is played in a friendly: Ancelotti has asked his decision and determination, factors that will then be decisive for victory. One to zero the final result with the goal scored by Dries Mertens and a hint of a brawl towards the end after an (inexplicable) slap of Payet to Insigne. Tomorrow morning, Napoli will fly to the US to play the two friendlies scheduled for Thursday (in Miami) and Saturday (in Michigan), against Barcelona.

INSIDE ELMAS - After just three days of training, Carlo Ancelotti sent Fabian Ruiz onto the pitch from the first minute. The Spaniard is fresh from his success in the European Under-21 Championship with his national team. In defense, however, Hysaj plays on the market: the Albanian exterior was requested by Tottenham and Rome, but both clubs are not willing to invest the 25 million requested by Aurelio De Laurentiis. The unavailability of Zielinski (feverish) invites the coach to try Elmas alongside Fabian Ruiz.

GOL OCCASION - The Velodrome is a bedlam, Marseille celebrates 120 of history. In the field, there is little of friendly, the formation of Villas Boas part of momentum and Chabrolle tries from outside the area, but the ball is high (7 '). The first goal ball, however, is built by Napoli. On Callejon's cross (11 ’) Insigne bursts in with his left: the conclusion is rejected by Mandanda. In defense, Manolas holds up well with Luperto, while in midfield Elmas is lively, a bit less Fabian Ruiz. The Spaniard, however, tries from outside the area, but his left does not worry the Marseille defender.

A JEWEL— It is the action that leads to the goal of Napoli that unlocks the game. Elmas finds the right cut for Insigne. The captain repeats one of his plays, or the opening for Callejon which comes to the right. The Spaniard avoids the conclusion on the fly and backs down for Mertens who frees the right for the 1-0. The first half ends with Napoli ahead.

FEW EMOTIONS— In the second half the game is often interrupted, the two teams do not spare prohibited shots, so much so that the referee is forced to extract the yellow card often. Ancelotti changes both the defense pair and the midfield pair, while in attack Younes takes the place of one off Milik. For Mandanda and Meret, time passes without excessive worries. The audience of the Velodrome does not give up, incites its like as if they were playing who knows what. And in one of the many frenzied actions, Lorenzo Insigne removes a blow from Payet, after a foul by Mertens on the same attacker that risks setting off a fight on the final.
